I earned a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from College of Charleston. During my undergraduate career, I also played softball and is how I was introduced to dietetics. I began interning for the sports dietitian for CofC, who was also an eating disorder dietitian. This experience was so inspiring and fueled my passion for nutrition and helping those who have disordered eating patterns and/or eating disorders. It led me to pursue a career in dietetics where I went on to obtain a Master of Science in Human Nutrition from Winthrop University. In my free time I love to relax and watch movies, travel, and try new restaurants!
During my master’s program I had the amazing opportunity to intern for a Certified Intuitive Eating Dietitian who works with people who have eating disorders. This was my first time learning about Intuitive Eating and Health At Every Size® and it made a tremendous impact on my life and how I now practice as a dietitian. I graduated from my master’s program and went on to complete an extensive internship where I gained significant experience in various areas that include clinical dietetics in a hospital setting and outpatient nutrition counseling. I have experience working with people who have diabetes, eating disorders, PCOS, and athletes to name a few. These experiences help inform my nutrition practice and I’m excited to continue to learn from the clients I have the privilege of working with now.
I believe that no matter how many credentials or training someone has, no person is more knowledgeable about your body than YOU are. I offer a client-centered, non-judgmental, collaborative approach to nutrition counseling where we work together to explore and heal your relationship with food and body image. Our time together will always be a safe space. I hope to work as a team and provide guidance to help you re-discover a joyful relationship with food!
