Making peace with Food: An ACT Approach
Make peace with all foods.
It’s one of the central tenets of the Intuitive Eating philosophy, yet it often feels like an impossible task. Even when we try to tell ourselves all foods fit, we often find old thought patterns about good and bad foods showing up and keeping us trapped in diet mentality and the restrict/binge cycle.
In this 2-part workshop based in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Lauren Egleston, LPC and Annie Goldsmith, RD will provide you with skills and tools to navigate the difficult food and body image thoughts that are keeping you stuck.
In this workshop, participants will:
- Identify the thought patterns that are keeping them stuck in disordered eating behaviors.
- Learn skills and tools to effectively navigate unhelpful thoughts, leading to positive behavior change
- Participate in experiential exercises to deepen understanding of the concepts presented.
